Our Services: Great American Lines, Inc. (GALI) is an operator of a combination PCC (pure car carrier)/refrigerated cargo ship that provides ocean transport of automobiles and palletized cargoes (refrigerated and general). Our service focuses on two-way trade of low profile passenger vehicles from Japan (Port of Toyohashi) to the United States (East or West Coast) and refrigerated cargo from the United States (Port Canaveral, Florida or Port Hueneme, California) to Japan (Tokyo and Osaka). U.S. East Coast ports of discharge for passenger vehicles are Jacksonville, Florida and Newark, New Jersey plus on occasion San Juan, Puerto Rico. U.S. West Coast ports of discharge for passenger vehicles are mainly Benicia and Long Beach, California plus on occasion Portland, Oregon. Please contact us at the above address if you are interested in booking with us for your transportation requirements. We are particularly interested in the transport of refrigerated and frozen cargo from ports in the U.S. East or West Coast to Japan. We are also interested in transport of cars or other low profile/height vehicles (such as light trucks/ mini-vans /SUV's) and will consider loading and/or discharging at other ports in Japan and the U.S. depending on the cargo volume and shipment dates. Our Quality and Environmental Policy: Please click here to view our Quality and Environmental Policy. Our company and our managers Fairfield-Maxwell Services, Ltd. (FMSL) have received ISO 14001:2004 certification for our Environment Management System and ISO 9001:2008 certification for our Quality Management System valid up to September 11, 2014 from our registrar United Registrar of Systems (URS) - Certificate Number: 49924/B/0001/UK/En.
Our TWIC Policy : Our policy is that we require all vendors/visitors to present a valid TWIC (Transport Worker Identification Credential) ID card in order to be allowed unescorted access to our vessel at a restricted facility or dock in US ports. Any visitors/vendors without a TWIC card are required to have a port-approved TWIC escort to escort them from the gate to a restricted port facility area to our vessel and vice-versa. Most agents charge a fee for this escort service. Any visitors or vendors without a TWIC will be expected to pay for this escort service if applicable. A TWIC card can be applied for through the TSA website. All vendors and visitors intending to visit our vessels at US ports (with or without a TWIC card) must also be on the gate list in order to be granted access to the port and our vessel. The TWIC ID card is now federally mandated for unescorted access to restricted or secured areas of all US ports. Memberships :
