Our Services:
Great American Lines, Inc. (GALI) is an operator of roll-on/roll-off (RORO) ships that provide ocean transport of both automobiles and palletized cargoes (refrigerated and general). Our service focuses on two-way trade primarily between ports in Japan (main ports: Tokyo, Osaka and Toyohashi) and ports on the U.S. East Coast (main ports: Jacksonville FL, Newark NJ, and Port Canaveral) and sometimes ports on the U.S. West Coast (main ports: Portland OR; Benicia, CA; Long Beach, CA and Port Hueneme, CA).
Please contact us at the above address if you are interested in booking with us for your transportation requirements. We are particularly interested in the transport of refrigerated and frozen cargo from ports in the U.S. East or West Coast to Japan. We are also interested in other types of RORO cargoes and will consider loading and/or discharging at other ports in Japan and the U.S. depending on the cargo volume and shipment dates.

Our TWIC Policy :
Our policy is that we require all vendors/visitors to present valid government-issue photo ID including, when required by the port, a valid TWIC (Transport Worker Identification Credential) ID card in order to be allowed unescorted access to a restricted facility or dock in US ports at the time our vessel is located there and to also be allowed unescorted access to unrestricted areas on board our vessel. A TWIC card can be applied for through the TSA website. All vendors and visitors intending to visit our vessels at US ports are strongly encouraged to obtain this TWIC card as soon as possible before the deadline required by the port. The TWIC ID card is presently expected to become mandatory at Port Newark after March 23, 2009. There will not be any escorting service provided for non-TWIC card holders by anyone once a TWIC card is required by the port.
